I’ve just bought this little mp3, so haven’t really tested it yet. The packaging was horrendous for such a little thing, totally unnecessary. I’ve played it back on speakers,and the sound quality is good, though some things come out a lot quieter than others. I’m not sure if this is the fault of the cd or the mp3. Once charged up, (overnight is best)it goes for a long time, about 5 hours. I’m off on holiday soon, so it will be severely tested!!!, but i think it will be ok.

Despite being aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and coming with headphones and a USB cable, this device leaves a lot to be desired from a technical standpoint. It is very easy to use featuring a beyond simple plug and play system that allows you to just drop files onto it. If you are like me then the first thing you do is test out the product before you actually begin to use it daily. Well, my test found that after a certain number of songs or rather a certain number of megabytes (about 240) the music begins to play in an unusual manner. The music seems layered and somewhat echoed with a frequent clicking sound that is in no way part of the music. After immediately getting ready to return the item, I ordered a replacement only for the replacement to have the exact same problems at the exact same point.

I can only surmise that the two I received were part of a batch where the flash memory the music is stored on is faulty because the problem actually starts during the middle of a song. If it was the music, then the problem would exist all the way through.

I am really disappointed that the products I received did not work correctly going by all the positive reviews people have given the item they either didn't notice the horrendous distortion to the music they were listening to, didn't care or were lucky enough to receive a fully functioning product. I say do not even risk it with this product, your best bet is to spend a little more money and go with a company that has a proven track record. However I recommend some detailed research before purchase, and choose wisely, read a lot of reviews, both professional and personal, visit product websites, etc. Be warned though, I did my research with this product and I was unlucky. Though, it seems that any product will eventually become problematic. My first and only, iPod's battery failed after a year and my last MP3, which was a Phillips GoGear, simply broke apart and stopped functioning properly only from simple use. So in retrospect a device with a high price tag isn't necessarily the best way to go. Purchaser Rating: 2 / 5

A 4GB MP3 player for this price is good value. I have to say though, compared to something like an i-pod it is dramatically inferior. It’s plasticky, lightweight, not as easy to use and it’s quite slow to operate.

I was looking for a voice-recorder that could be used for other things and it does the job fine. I spent an afternoon trying to figure out how to get movies onto it and I eventually just gave up- the files need to be converted to AMV which I couldn’t figure out how to do.

In spite of all that, it works well enough.

Don’t forget to buy a 3.5 to 2.5mm headphone jack adapter.

Bought this for taking to the gym because I didn’t fancy the usual shuffle type players that you see everyone else with. I didn’t look at the dimensions in the description when I bought it so I was pleasantly surprised to find out how portable and light this player is.

It doesn’t take more than a few minutes to work out how to use – extremely simple which is ideal for a technophobe like me.

It sounds absolutely fantastic and the quality of the earphones surprised me as I am used to getting crap for this sort of money.

Had a problem trying to work out how to get videos on to it but a 2 minute call to the seller sorted me out and I must thank them for their excellent service all round. I have MP3s, video and my photgraphs stored on it – in fact, I have got so much, I am thinking about upgrading to an 8gb version.

For the price, the device is very good. Build quality doesn’t appear very good but what do you expect for this price. Length of the lead for the earphone socket is not very long, however it’s fine if you clip the device to your t-shirt whilst at the gym (that’s what I use it for).

I initially assumed 2Gg may be too little for me, but I have approx 50 songs on at the moment and I haven’t even used a tenth of the capacity !

Can’t agree with reviewer no. 2. For the money it’s a brilliant little gadget. The sound quality is perfectly acceptable, but obviously not as good as my Ipod Touch which cost 10 x more. It’s perfect for the gym.

I bought this MP3 / MP4 player to replace one I got from a different source which had arrived in poor condition and set up for the wrong country. I was slightly worried I may have a repeat of any of those problems though my fears were groundless, it arrived in full secure packaging with correct and well described equipment in a very good time – given the ice and snow slowed the post service. The MP3 / MP4 player comes with the software to install on the computer and once installed it was very easy to put my songs on and quicker than any MP3 I have used before as well as easier than my sisters iPod as it doesn’t require iTunes installing. I have yet to use the e-book, movie, photo and tel-book functions but the jokes (10 in the e-book section) were in a range of humour. The sample video’s, pictures are clear for the size of screen and I look forward to putting my own photos and videos on it to have them with me where ever I go. The small size of the player makes it easy to carry every where for me and the head phones that come with it are better than any others that have come free with my MP3 players in the past.

when i ordered this player i was looking for something cheap to use in the gym as my main player is a bit too bulky, i was expecting something plastic and awful.

I find myself very pleasently suprised, the body of the player is all aluminium and it feels very sturdy indeed, the buttons have a good feel to them and seem quite solid, the clip itself is very strong and i can’t see much chance of it falling off at any point. The sound quality is also suprising for the price, it’s much better then i expecting it to be and the volume is very good, it’s almost hard to believe that something that small could be that loud. thus far the battery life seems to be a good 4 hours or so too. One thing that doesn’t seem to have been mentioned before that i found quite good is that there is an LED on the top that flashes to let you know when the player is playing or paused.

If you’re looking for something to replace an Ipod shuffle then this probably isn’t for you, the sound quality doesn’t quite compare, but if you’re looking for something you don’t mind breaking at the gym, it’s very good indeed and i would highly recommend
